Oh, you've got to be sensitive to some things. Otherwise, how can you get people to follow you, to worship you? Be sensitive to the mortal's plight, accept their offering, help cure their crops or heal their brat, and they'll just worship you more and more and give you more sacrifices. Help them win a war and, maybe if you're lucky you'll get a human sacrifice! Those are always fun! A little sensitivity goes a long way.

Gods are different. We deserve the rule. Nobody can dethrone us. With politicians, it's always a constant squabble and catfight to get to the top. Once you're a god, you're always a god. With politicians, you can be removed from office at any given moment. Also, your scandal tends to be a lot more prominant than ours. This "Watergate" really is interesting.
