049 - Swapping that last post out with this one!

[Private to the Fifth Doctor and the Marquis]

Doctor! Doctor, are you alright-- where are you? I heard you were here the moment I got in, and then-- Oh, but I've picked a marvelous time to come back. I'd suspect this flood to be your doing, you know, if I weren't so used to the Admiral's novice-level piloting by now.

And Marquis-- are you well? I'm so sorry I had to leave like that. Believe me, if I had any say in the matter, I'd have talked to you first, said my goodbyes...

I'll understand if you're upset with me, but... I hope one day you'll forgive me.

[OOC: The handwriting is a match for Romana's, 'cause the Master... thinks ahead and shit. ACTION SPAM FOR THE FIFTH DOCTOR TO FOLLOW]

[The Master returns the affectionate act with a joyful hug] Oh, Doctor! Look at you-- [He laughs] young for the first time!

[He peeks into the TARDIS and breaks into a large grin] It's good of the Admiral to let you bring her here. My own was...

[He shakes his head and smiles sadly] Nevermind that. Tea?

[The Doctor sort of awkwardly hugs back, but despite any hesitance on his part for the hugging, he is clearly overjoyed to see her!] Oh yes! I don't believe you've ever met this version of me!

[He steps back to let the Master into the TARDIS, the tea brewing away behind him as he does so.]

Well, do come in, and Yes! I'll go pour us some Tea now! If I recall correctly It was milk and sugar in yours wasn't it?

This would be my first time making acquaintance with this you, Doctor. [A smile] A pleasure.

[He steps into the TARDIS, following after the Doctor]

Milk and sugar still, Doctor. The years haven't changed me that much. [He brushes a hand along the TARDIS console gently] How long have you been here? Are you finding yourself well on the Barge?

[The Doctor pours the tea carefully, glancing over his shoulder to shoot the Master a smile as he does so]

Oh, I've been here a few months, or, well, more or less considering which of my incarnations you ask.

[He mixes in the milk and the sugar, then turns, holding two mugs, one of which he offers to the Master.]

And... I'm still sort of working on finding myself at all to be honest, but it's interesting here if nothing else. A new adventure.

It is, that. [The Master accepts the cup and looks down at it, then at the Doctor again] Well then, Doctor. [He raises the cup cheerfully] Here's to a new adventure!

[The Doctor raises his own mug in response, offering The Master a warm smile.] To a new adventure.

[He takes a long sip of tea]

[He takes a sip as well, before setting the cup down]

Oh, Doctor, it's simply been ages since I've had a good look around the TARDIS. [He quirks a brow] Do you still have the zoo?

[His expression brightens visibly at that question]

Of course! Would you like to see it again? Surely it's not been that long for you?

[The Master's brightens as well]

Oh, absolutely! You've no idea how long it's been for me since--

Well. Suffice it to say, it's been a long time.

Well! you must allow me to escort you!

[He darts over excitedly and offers the Master his arm in a gentlemanly way.]

Just this way!

[He accepts the Doctor's arm graciously, grinning brightly at his foe]

Why thank you! Lead the way, Doctor.

[There's a teasing, familiar tone to his voice as he says that-- he figures it's how Romana would say it, anyway.]

[The Doctor beams at her and guides her through towards the zoo]

Certainly, it's just through here...

[He releases her arm briefly to go to open the door to the zoo, and hauls it open, before standing aside to let her in first]

[The Master steps inside, as it'd probably look quite suspicious if he didn't, and stays near the entrance as he waits for the Doctor. He glances around the zoo, not admiring the simulation of these creatures' natural habitats, so much as keeping his eyes open for something heavy]

It's as wonderful as ever, Doctor.

[The Doctor enters the zoo after the Master, moving to the edge of one of the enclosures and shooting a smile over his shoulder at the other Time Lord.]

Isn't it? I don't get to show this part of the TARDIS to as many people as I'd like...

[He looks a little ruefully out into the enclosure once again.]

...I'm glad you remembered it.

How could I forget it, Doctor?

[Of course, he hardly ever got to see the zoo before. Oh, when he'd stolen the TARDIS, he had, but other than that? It wasn't as though the opportunity arose terribly often. He smiles sheepishly, clasping his hands behind his back[

Unfortunately, it seems I've forgotten where everything here is. [Then, his face lights up-- as he's remembering an exhibit that'll take them quite a ways away from the door]

Oh! Do you still have the quagga, Doctor? I'd really like to see them again.
