096 - VOICE OF >(

[Unlike the past few days, the Master sounds quite lucid and calm-- IF ANNOYED-- now. This is mostly because Martha's loaded him up with two days' worth of sustenance from an IV, so he's like... CHILL, until his body burns it up again]

Untie me. Right now. Or at least tell me what you want, because this is getting boring.

Where's the Doctor?

Re: SPAM - JUDAS, WHY ARE YOU SO ADORABLE :|

Not cannibalism. [Yeah he still feels the need to point it out in a totally pedantic voice]

[Then, to Martha with a leer] Then maybe you can give me a sponge bath. [Finally, he shrugs] Better than sitting here, waiting for nothing. I'm so... restless.

Then don't protest!

[And off Rayne goes, minion in tow - by force... Maybe a nod for Martha's benefit. Rayne's not often a woman of many words, alas.]

[Judas decides that maybe now is the best time to struggle. He agreed to see Iago later that night and being holed up didn't sound like anything he'd like. He just needs her to release him for a second and he'll be off like a shot.]

Please let me go.

No.

[Rayne's one of the most determined authority figures on the ship. When she sets her mind to something, it's made to happen. Any physical protest is met with either a shove, yank or other variety of means to force compliance.

And her grip is a vice.]

Better tell me your cabin number and deck. It'll be easier on you.

Re: SPAM - Taaangent.

[Judas can definitely feel the strong grip of her hand on the back of his neck and just how close her fingers are to his spine.]

Level 2, Room 001.

[But unfortunately he's a coward in every standard and willingly gives up the information.]

"Good."

She spun him around roughly, head dipping and hand still on neck. Situations like these were why it was good to have her around. At least he was being compliant.

"Now, you've got two options: I dump you inside and make sure your door remains closed. Failing that, you head on over to somewhere away from your favourite serial killer, in the sure knowledge that I will personally act as an instrument of God's wrath if you wander on by, a second time. Your choice."

[Judas looked up at her, utterly terrified.]

I won't be back to try again.

"Good puppy."

She gave him a short, sharp shove away, half-wanting to boot him in the rear. Rayne does an awfully good impression of a school gym teacher, at times like these.

"G'bye, Jude... I'll be right here, in case you get any not so bright ideas, again."

[Judas scrambled away at top speed, a stumbling gait at first before he just outright sprinted back to his room and shut the door behind him.]

Shut up, Saxon. [Her voice is tight and through her teeth as he leered at her, and she had to fight the shiver with everything that she was.] You're not getting a sponge bath. You're lucky you're getting food. [She nodded briefly.] If you behave maybe we'll bring you some books or something.

[Martha nodded to Rayne and smiled a bit before she watched as Judas was taken out. She felt badly for the man, even though he had called her a whore in public. He probably blamed her for this. Hell, he blamed her for everything else ever, why not this?]

[DEADPAN:] One problem with the books. [And with that, he moves his wrists to draw attention back to the restraints]

Re: SPAM

[Right. She may have forgotten about that. Damn it. With a sigh Martha looked around.] If you think I'm stupid enough to unrestrained you, than you're dead wrong. [There was another sigh before she frowned. Martha, you are entirely too nice, she told herself, before reminding herself that a bored Master was going to be a larger problem than anything else, and it wasn't just herself who was going to deal with it.] Right. I have audiobooks on my ipod. I'll put it in your ears if you want, and stick the unit in your hand so you can change it. [There were hostile notes in her tone; she really didn't want to do this. Another option would be to ask someone to come and read to him, but really Martha didn't know anyone who'd be willing to do it.]

Sharing iPods now? [He chuckles] I think that's taking our friendship to a whole new level. [He gives a dismissive wave with his hand... well, from its current, cuffed position, anyway] Fine, it's a deal. [For now]

Shut the hell up, Saxon. [Martha's teeth were grit so tightly that it hurt her jaw. This was the last thing in the bloody world that she wanted to do but really, now that she had offered it, it wasn't as if she could take it back. Damn it. Damn it to hell. Muttering softly to herself, Martha went over to the desk and removed the ipod from her bag. It was new and had several different novels on it. Thankfully, it only had the fifth Harry Potter on it (Martha had forgotten to remove it from her ipod list) but everything else was simple enough. The Historian, A Tale of Two Cities, James and the Giant Peach, The Lovely Bones, Artemis Fowl, Gregory MaGuire's Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and The Series of Unfortunate Events books. Really, she hoped there was something on the list that would keep him quiet. Coming back, she glared at him.] If you bite me while I try to put these in, I really will stop the bag and gag you.

[He looks up at her 'innocently,' as though completely taken aback] What, I can't even make small talk now?

[Finally, he grins] Promise, promise.

Re: SPAM

[personal profile] toldastory 2009-12-30 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
No! [Her tone was sharp and harsh, because she didn't want to have to make small talk with him. She didn't want to have to do anything with him. Carefully, she slipped the bud in one ear, and then in the other ear, making sure not to put her arm anywhere near his mouth. When it was in, she spoke again because he probably wouldn't be able to read the titles, leaving out Harry Potter, out of respect for Snape.] The Historian, A Tale of Two Cities, James and the Giant Peach, The Lovely Bones, Artemis Fowl, Gregory MaGuire's Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and The Series of Unfortunate Events books. What do you want to listen too?

[True to his word (for once), the Master doesn't make any moves to attack her. After all, he's not nearly hungry enough to have a taste for human, and he wants to be let out of these restraints sooner, rather than 'never.' And, because he's pretty much a giant manchild, his face lights up at one of those books in particular]

James and the Giant Peach. I do love Dahl-- for a human.

Right. James and the Giant Peach, read by Jeremy Irons. [This book may or may not have been one of he favorite flight books. She put the play list on and hit play before she tucked it into his hand. Really, Martha hoped that she wasn't going to have to give him an ipod lesson; she didn't have the patience.]

Mm, he has such a nice voice. [As usual, his own voice is anything but sincere. Fingers clasping around the iPod, he waves Martha off with a dismissive gesture.]

Re: SPAM

[Martha just rolled her eyes before she walked away, thankful that the book ran for something like almost three hours. At least he hopefully would shut up for that long. And, she decided, if he wrecked her ipod, she might just kill him.]
